Remote Learning
We hope to keep all children in school, but we are prepared for three scenarios:
- All classes are in school and all staff are available - learning takes place in school as normal.
- A class is at home owing to bubble closures or lack of staffing.
- Most of the children are in school, but some children are absent due to self-isolating with COVID.
The third case is the most likely, and the most difficult to manage. With all of our staff working full time to meet the needs of the children in school, we do not have the capacity to offer a full remote learning service to healthy individuals who are at home in isolation.
Lessons will be uploaded daily to Class Dojo and in a Google Drive as usual. Teaching staff will be in contact via Class Dojo. Unfortunately, we will be unable to offer recorded videos or instant feedback owing to the challenges of teaching pupils both at home and in school. However, work will be responded to when the teacher is available and staff will monitor work completed on Learning By Questions etc.
If a child is ill, we would not expect a child to complete remote learning.

During January and February 2021 most of the pupils were working at home. All our work was uploaded daily onto our Class Dojo. We were so pleased that all our parents connected with the Class Dojo and engagement from pupils and parents was over 98%. The key worker children who were in school completed the same work.
In our galleries below we have shared some examples of work submitted.
Home learning was fun, but we are now really pleased to all be back in school together!
