Today we learnt three different ways to cut food safely using a knife and fork: the claw; the bridge; and ‘fork secure’. Then we practised cutting strawberries and bananas to go into our smoothies.

While groups of children practised their cutting skills, we got to work on our smoothie recipes!

We used Mrs C’s blender to mix up the ingredients. We were excited to see the pieces of fruit turn to liquid and the colours change as we added each ingredient.

We tested and evaluated our smoothie while it was still fresh! Can you tell by our faces what we thought about the taste?
