Holy Family Catholic Primary School

Previous Reception Galleries

What a fantastic first year we had at Holy Family Primary School!

On this page you will be able to find some details about last year's Reception class. Please take a look at the galleries on the right-hand side of the page to find out more about what we got up to!

On Thursday 7th May, we were very lucky to visit Bristol Zoo, to develop our knowledge of animals, including minibeasts and sea creatures.

We travelled to the zoo on a luxurious coach. The seats were huge and so comfy!

We were able to see lots of animals including: gorillas, lions, birds, sea creatures, crocodiles, snakes, turtles, hippos, flamingos, meerkats, butterflies and many more.

We were very lucky to attend a workshop which was called 'Minibeasts and Me'. We had the opportunity to hold a hissing cockroach, and stroke a large stick insect. Lots of us were very brave, including some of the adults who came with us! During the workshop, we also watched a scorpion turn green when the lady shone a torch on its hard shell. It was fascinating!

We had such a brilliant time at Bristol Zoo and Miss Crane was so impressed with how well the children behaved! :-)
