We had a BRILLIANT day. We started off playing the famous Maya board game, Patolli, ( a game of skill ) and even got to eat the jelly beans afterwards.  Then we went outside and played the ball game Pok a Tok. There was only one goal scored by one of the 5 teams. If that had been in Ancient Maya times, members of the other 4 teams would have been sacrificied to the Maya gods. 

In the afternoon, we had the Ancient Maya fire ceremony and we each heard the personality traits and characteristics of our sacred birth sign. Children were surprised at how much some of the information matched their character !
