Today we investigated 'Is a doll a living thing?'

First we made our hypothesise, based on our knowledge of the living processes. Then we carried out a series of tests to see if the doll is a living thing.

We tried the 'hand clap test' to see if it would react. Then we tried feeding it to see if it would eat. We measured it to see if it had grown. We checked for breath against a magnifying glass to see if it breathed air. And, finally, we checked it's nappy to see if it produced waste!

We concluded that the doll is NOT a living thing!
