Holy Family Catholic Primary School

Year One Church Visit

Through the course of the academic year, each year group is given the opportunity to visit our Parish Church, Holy Family, to join the congregation for morning Mass. After Mass, the year group has time to focus on an aspect of the Mass with our Parish Priest, Fr. Eugene.

Father Eugene kindly invited Year One to attend Mass at Holy Family Church. Then we learned about the sacrament of baptism in a workshop in which Father Eugene taught us about the signs and symbols of baptism.

We loved learning though role play as Father Eugene talked us through the baptism ceremony and 'baptised' baby Rosie to the delight of all involved!
