Year 1 - Dips and Dippers
In this unit, we learnt about good food hygiene rules and using kitchen equipment to prepare food safely. We were able to apply these skills when making and evaluating a healthy dip and dippers. The unit also developed our understanding of the eatwell plate and explained the importance of eating a healthy and varied diet.
The highlight was making our own guacamole dip and then evaluating it in a taste test with our favourite cheese crackers.
