Ash Wednesday

Today we went to church and celebrated Ash Wednesday Mass with Father Eugene and the rest of our Church family. Today marks the start of the holy season of Lent, a time for reflection and repentance in preparation for the celebration of Easter.

We were excited to receive the ash cross on our foreheads and wear this for the rest of the day. God knows what is in our hearts; the ashes remind us to turn our hearts toward God.
