We've begun working together on a new project - looking at how we can reduce our consumption of single-use plastics.

We were inspired by sisters Melati and Isabel Wijsen - Indonesian climate activists and cofounders of youth-led organization Bye Bye Plastic Bags, which aims to get people to refuse single-use plastic bags. Their advocacy and petition for six years played a part in the Bali government's decision to place a ban on all single-use plastics in 2018.

We worked together to create a display, highlighting the work of Melati and Isabel and how much unwanted plastic ends up in the ocean - around 8 million tonnes of it every year, in fact! Our 'plastic bag turtles' look fabulous but sadly our friends beneath the ocean are in serious danger from plastic pollution.
