Community Support Meeting

Notes from the Community Support Team meeting

26th January 2021

The CS Team met last Tuesday and discussed how lockdown is going so far.

It was suggested that a survey should go out to all parents for feedback. The members are putting this together and it will be sent out next Wednesday 3rd February.

It was also suggested that parents may like to join together with other families from the same class to share a remote learning session for example, ‘we are doing maths at 10am tomorrow does anyone want to join u?’ This would enable some parents to have some free time if it was shared around each day. With this in mind, it was requested that the google form to put email addresses on for each year was extended.

If you would like to be included in this, please put your email address onto the form and contact the others on the form for your child’s class.

Dear all the lovely people at Holy Family School. We just wanted to take the time to say a huge and heartfelt thank you for everything you do for our children and the worlds future generations. The love, friendship, support and community that emanates from the school would be hard to beat in any other setting. We will never truly know the lengths that you go to for our children - the late night working; the extra learning on topics; the heartache at times. In this time where the world feels a very uncertain place for many - your whole staff team provides the best stability to enable our children to be resilient and positive through this pandemic. Please know that we appreciate everything you do for our children and your support will get them, and us, through. Big Love, The Reillys xxx

Thank you so much for the amazing job that you do. Knowing that you care for our kids, has given us the confidence and reassurance we needed through the tough COVID times. You take care of every single child at the school in such a sympathetic and kind way and for that we can’t thank you enough.

'Message of hope' is an attempt to show that solidarity surpasses the limitations of distance. A simple meme or a single 'How are you?' can make somebody feel loved and taken care of. This too shall pass, till then, let's express gratitude and exchange ideas, virtually of course!

Muchas gracias por el cuidado el amor con mi niña, Os deseo una vida llena de amor y alegría

I found Mr Marshall during lockdown was brilliant at helping to keep my son focused and engaged in his work. He found new ways for the work to be completed and the videos really helped my son to learn but also me to help him when he got stuck. The personal phone calls were also a great touch. Thank you

Since my son returned to school in September he has had a few struggles to get back into routine but Mr Harding has supported this. He has helped him to mature and continually challenge himself so he can prepare for secondary school next year. Thank you
