Holy Family is a Catholic Aided Primary School catering for pupils aged 4-11 years. In our school we aim to provide a caring Christian community in which each child can grow both academically and spiritually. The curriculum we provide is broad and well balanced. It is aimed at developing each child's language, mathematical, scientific, technological and creative skills. We also attach great importance to the development of the child's social skills, encouraging them to build relationships with other children and adults and to be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others.
We believe that parental involvement in the process is crucial and will provide opportunities to keep all parents informed of their child's progress. We are keen to encourage parental involvement in school life because we believe that a close home/school partnership is critical to the success of the school. Parents willing to help are always made welcome in the school. We are confident that your child's time at Holy Family will be a happy and fruitful one.
As a Catholic school we aim to develop our children's spiritual needs. We believe that these needs are met within a community inspired by the teaching and life of Jesus Christ. The staff within the school work towards each child's fulfilment, assessing individual needs and supporting them towards the realization of their true potential. We endeavour to ensure that all children acquire a high level of self-esteem and foster positive attitudes towards school life.
At Holy Family School the health and safety of all our children is of paramount importance. Parents send their children to school each day with the expectation that school provides a secure environment in which their children can flourish. We, therefore, have to ensure that this expectation becomes reality and in order to do this a wide range of measures have been put in place. Full details are in our Safeguarding Policy.
