The theme for the British science week this year was ‘Growth’.

As a school, we had lots of additional science lessons and activities planned to get the children enthusiastic and engaged about science. We used packs that had been produced for the National Science Week for activity ideas to use with the children.

As part of the week, the whole school had the chance to go into the Explorer Dome; KS1 learning about the environment and KS2 learning about space. This was such a great experience - all children spoke very highly of it.

All the children in school had the opportunity to plant a sunflower seed. These were taken home to be nurtured to grow and grow, and the children were encouraged to observe the development of their seed over the next few weeks/months. Photographs are to be taken and put onto each classes' Dojo pages and see who can grow the tallest one!
