Signs of Autumn
We played a hide and seek game to practise what to do if we get lost. Then we joined in telling a story about Autumn. In the story, the days were getting shorter and the sun was less strong. The weather was cold and wet and the minibeasts were cold and miserable. They needed help. At the end of the story, the trees threw down their leaves to make a cosy carpet for the minibeasts to hide in! Some of the children worked together to make their own leaf nests. Others identified minibeasts hiding under logs and leaf piles. Inma helped the children to make leaf rubbings using foil and we planted more trees around the outside of our Forest School area.
