We have been designing, making and decorating Gingerbread Pirates as part of our creative curriculum topic 'Pirates and Pioneers'.

We made our original designs on the computer using an art app on Purple Mash. Then Jane (our school cook) baked them in the oven for us. We were so excited when they were returned for decorating - complete with their wooden lollipop peg legs!

Mrs Bush showed us how to use rolling pins and cutters to make icing sugar features and clothes for our pirates, before we stuck them to the gingerbread using icing sugar 'glue'!
