The Ancient Maya had many gods, over 150. Many of them had overlapping roles and  names. Some had human form, some took

the form of an animal, others were a phenomena of nature. Kukulcan    was the  supreme god.Chac was the rain god and  Hun Ixim was the  god of maize. We crafted one of the gods from clay.
