Parenting is not an easy job and at times things can get tough. It can be great and rewarding one day and challenging and helpless the next but we are here to help you! Don’t feel alone or isolated, come and have a chat.
We are available during school hours but we are happy to make other arrangements or home visits if that helps. You may also find the website and document links to the right useful.
If you are interested in volunteering at Holy Family Primary School, please let us know. Our parent helpers are invaluable: whether, hearing children read; preparing resources or displays; supporting teachers during forest school sessions; assisting on class trips; or sharing skills (such as cookery, art or gardening). Subject: New Wellbeing course: The Portable Relaxation Toolkit
We now have our new wellbeing courses organised with Helena Dawson from Chessel Bay Therapies. We are taking bookings on our website and the links are below.
The course is being funded by South Glos Council but there is a £5 booking and admin fee to cover all 6 online sessions.
The first course is on a Thursday evenings 8-9pm starting 25th February and the next on a Tuesday afternoon 1.15-2.15pm starting after Easter on 20th April.
THE PORTABLE RELAXATION TOOLKIT:
A six week Wellbeing Course for parents and carers, with thanks to funding from South Gloucestershire Council.
We all need to have the energy to care so it’s important to look after our own health and wellbeing needs. Learning how to practise self-care and relaxation techniques will help enable us to keep going, supporting and caring for our families.
Helena Dawson of Chessel Bay Therapies will be leading weekly online workshops on a Thursday evening 8-9pm via Zoom, and invites you to learn and practice self-relaxation techniques.
Helena is a local complementary therapist, who has experience in working with groups and individuals who are suffering from anxiety, stress and pain. Her aim is to support people feeling better, in their journey to wellbeing.
Helena believes in self-care and so will be offering a range of portable relaxation techniques through the next few weeks. She hopes that you will find a calmer and more relaxed you with an increased sense of wellbeing!
